Where We Work (HIDDEN)
When reading the latest populations of People With Diabetes (PWD) below, keep in mind the CDC estimates 27% of U.S. residents go undiagnosed (2011).
Illinois
As the starting point of America's Dietitians', our Illinois RD team
boasts a combined 200 years of experience helping People With Diabetes.
Here, nearly 2,700 people die each year from diabetes-related
complications (CDC 2009).
Chicago, alone, is home to approximately
1.1 million people battling diabetes. The entire state, however, is
grappling with an epidemic that nearly reflects the U.S. average 8.3% of
the population (CDC 2012).
